It was cold, cold, cold here yesterday. So I grabbed the family and the camera and headed off to a nearby mansion that is open to the public. They have two greenhouses, and those of you who were around last year may remember my posts on the camellias then. Is there a better way to spend a freezing cold day than in a warm greenhouse surrounded by gorgeous flowers?
Hope you all have a great week.
Best,
Stephanie
i lost my breath! excuse me while i stare at these photos a lil longer! WOW!
ReplyDeletePerfect...we are nearly there :)
ReplyDeleteA poem for you Stephanie....
CAMELIA
The sweet scented flowers of pink are now blooming
And telling the land that the springtime is here,
For soft and like velvet their petals are glowing
I've waited a lifetime to see them appear.
So still,
The songs of the dawn,
Camelia shines
As a new day is born.
Like skies of the morning their colour enriching
The land with their splendour such joy they do give,
And filling my senses with passion and feeling
A sight I shall treasure as long as I live.
So still,
The songs of the dawn,
Camelia shines
As a new day is born.
The sweet scented flowers of pink look so lovely
While bathed now in sunlight and sprinkled with dew,
As gently the weep silver tears of emotion
Which fall to the ground as the skies turn to blue.
So still,
The songs of the dawn,
Camelia shines
As a new day is born

ReplyDeleteYour photos of the Camelia's are absolutely amazing, Stephanie.
ReplyDeleteWe need to get to Mo Botanical Garden for the orchid show. The Camelia "house" should be open too. It was last year during the show...hoping so. I love Camelia's.
