here comes the weekend …

We spent a gorgeous hour having lunch on the beach Friday.  A little dive right on the water, but the food is oh so good.

Then Saturday, I made a few dozen of these to bring to our friends’ annual kick off the summer BBQ.  (Bet you didn’t know I bake, right?)

Sunday, we had dinner at my sister’s club here …

And Monday, we honor those who serve with our village’s annual Memorial Day Parade and ceremony on the village green.  Followed by a neighborhood BBQ at our house.

Surrounded by family and friends, with gorgeous weather.  Sounds like the perfect weekend to me.

    Sounds like you've had a great weekend. I didn't bbq out and to be honest it was so hot I couldn't stand out there for more than 10 mins - it's not even June and we're having days at nearly 100:(

    Ah, a lovely post and beautiful photos, Steph. I love those tie-dye cupcakes! Carrie made some rainbow cupcakes yesterday and they were lots of fun. Glad you had a good weekend. xo

    wow - looks you had a very "traditional all american Memorial Day" I love it !!! Especially the long table - I 've always wanted to have a cookout like that too cool
