making a list …

009

We copied the chalkboard idea from a couple of posts back.  I don’t have a huge chalkboard, so we went with poster board.  I also probably should have used a ruler, but it is good enough for me.  And I still need to hang this up, but I have to tell you, the kids are so excited for summer now, even though some of the things are things we do all the time.

We made the list with input from everyone.  Mostly my little one and I.   For those who don’t know, MOMA is the Museum of Modern Art in NYC, as is the Metropolitan Museum of Art (Met).   And Laduree is finally opening a location in New York this July.  Just a block away from my sister’s office – that lucky girl!  But the children are looking forward to it as much as I am, and Katie loves their vanilla tea.   Movie Tuesdays, because we get free movie passes on Tuesdays and it’s a great way to beat the heat.

Just two weeks of school left, and we’re looking forward to a great summer vacation.  What are you doing this summer?

Best,

Stephanie

  10. I wonder what two teenage boys would come up with? We're beginning "family Sundays" this week in an attempt to spend more time together and I may have to steal some of your ideas!

  13. Stephanie, I have been sick for a couple of weeks and have not done much blog visiting. I love this idea! Since you've mentioned MOMA I should tell you that my nephew is going to be part of an exhibit at MOMA in July. When I know the dates I will let you know. I am hoping to be there for the opening of his exhibit. I think it runs from sometime in July through the end of September. I'll keep you posted. I also have to visit the new Laduree!
