Hello everyone! Just a quick post to let you know we made it through the big bad terrible Irene. We have lots of trees down in our neighborhood, and tons of leaves and branches, but all in all, we came out OK. Thanks to everyone for your good thoughts, and prayers to those who weren’t as lucky. And a million thanks to my husband and the many volunteer firefighters who worked throughout the day and night to keep our homes and streets safe and clear. This bud’s for you.
Best,
Stephanie
So good to hear from you Stephanie!! Been thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteSaw your updates on FB and so glad Irene tempered it's force. Our son waited out a hurricane in Grand Cayman a few years ago and I know how awful it can be for those who are nervously waiting. Always good to be mindful of Mother Nature. XO
ReplyDeleteGlad to know you are ok, Steph. We won't have an internet connection in our new house until the end of this week, so I'm using my work's computer here at the end of the day to check in. I've been thinking of you guys! xo
ReplyDeleteGlad your safe and sound

Love this capture
Oops forgot to thank your hubby also for his time and all that he gives to help others
ReplyDeleteGlad you were spared the worst of Irene. We desperately need rain, but rather not get that way. I am with you, Scotty is my favorite. Hope he does well.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you and yours are safe and sound. Still without power here but the roads are open and the crews are at work. Kudos to all the firemen and electrical power people out there!

So happy to hear that you and your family made it safely through the storm. I thought of you during every newscast. And yes, God Bless all the firemen and police and electric crews helping each community.
ReplyDeletePS. My brother stayed landside and was so relieved and happy to see his boat made it through the storm too.
Just got our power and phone back! Not fun. My neighbors still don't have it.
ReplyDeleteBig tree went down, missed neighbor's house by an inch. Some damage to their porch. All you hear is chain saws and wood chippers.
Son in GC never lost power! Some out here have no water either. :(
Glad you are ok!
good to know you're fine... i can completely sympathize with you as we've had tons of those here in FL... take care!
ReplyDeletei am so glad you are all ok. how scary. good luck with the cleanup.
