summer camera bag

image

OK, remember way back in the winter I posted about converting my old diaper bags to camera bags?  And then whined that the Coach leather one was too heavy with all the equipment in it?  This is my summer solution.  (I still have problems with spending $200 or so on a synthetic bag, no matter how cute.)  This Sportsac bag is sooo light and the strap adjusts so that you can carry it across your body or like a regular bag.  There is no padding but the inserts I bought fit just fine.  And there is still room left over for keys, wallet, lip gloss, and a phone, plus some extras.   There are a few cute prints this year, including this Lily Pulitzer one.  And I got it for 20% off with my local store’s coupon.   But one of the best things is:  no one can tell it’s a camera bag.  Win, win, win!

Best,

Stephanie

P.S. Just to follow up on the Vaseline post – you must  try that specific version (intensive rescue moisture locking lotion).  It has worked like no other formula for me, including the old Vaseline + socks combo. (yuck!)   And it takes about 2 weeks of daily use to see the real difference, but oh, my when you do!  And they feel better every single day, so definitely try it!

I just picked up the lotion at Target, today. Will get busy using it, this evening. Thanks so much for the info.

  4. You are just full of great suggestions. I used to do a lot of various hand work, but my eyes are just not the same. You have great creative skills.

  5. If I'm gonna spend $200 on a purse it had better be Coach! I like your solution for the camera bag, very summery too :) I bought that 'heel' stick thingy for my dry skin on my feet but I keep forgetting to use it!! It did good the few times I put it on, but the key is to keep doing it.

  7. Yes...I remember the converted diaper bag! This is great. I know that feeling when you take off and it all actually works and doesn't strain the shoulder and actually looks good too. Even better when you can open it up and see everything without having to play the 'what does it feel like' game in the bag. You have a great bag here Stephanie, well done!
