on the road again …

We took the opportunity while our son was in football camp in Rhode Island to take a nice long weekend there.  Camp ended at 4, so he still got to spend most of the day with us.   Along with our favorite, Newport, we also visited a few new places.  I left my big girl camera home, and took a little point and shoot.  I missed Lola, but to be honest, it was a little freeing to not be carrying an extra 8 lbs all day, every day.  Today, I’m sharing some of the Newport photos.  Hope you enjoy!

Best,

Stephanie

That’s the entrance to Chateau Sur Mer above and the home itself below.  We always visit one or two of the mansions when we’re in Newport.

The Brick Alley Pub is a fun place to grab a bite.  True story?  Even though I’ve been to Newport every year for the last 18 years, I never noticed the Brick Alley right alongside.  How slow am I?

  3. That's one of the mansions we haven't visited yet. We were just there last week with our daughter as we were checking out URI. We sure could have used your help when we were trying to find a place to eat! It was only our second time in Newport and we ended up a bit lost and ate in some dirty little place. Overall it's such a gorgeous area though! That big girl camera really weighs you down, doesn't it?
