three little things, no. 7

I realize my last post was three little things too, but I had to share these products I just found, under $20 each.  Don’t tell anyone – they’ll be our little secret!   This week, it’s all about the hair.

Up first, Tigi Rockaholic Dry Shampoo.  I’m not usually a fan of dry shampoo, but this one smells good, and it actually works without making your hair look worse.   It’s perfect for the days after you get your hair done and you hate to mess up the style, or if you’ve just colored and don’t want to wash your hair the next day.   I found it at Ulta, and it’s pink right now for breast cancer awareness.

The next one is a little sweet smelling, but just what the beauty doctor ordered for your hair when it isn’t smelling it’s best, or if you just want to add a pretty scent.  It’s Pink Sugar Hair Perfume.  It’s sweet and fruity, but I’ve noticed that I can still wear perfume with it if I want as it settles down after a half hour or so, leaving your hair lightly scented.  Just go light with it.   This saved me after breakfast at a local diner on Sunday when my freshly washed hair ended up smelling like someone’s fried eggs and hash browns.  You can find it at Sephora or Ulta.  But don’t blame me when people on line behind in you in stores or at the movies start sniffing around your great smelling hair.

And last up is Oscar Blandi Texture and Volume Spray.  It really does just what it says it will – adds volume and a little completely invisible texture.  Perfect for keeping your hair off of your face, or giving it a little lift.  Or for giving a little texture to hair that is too clean to hold without slipping.  I just tried it today, and even in the humidity, it seems to be holding up pretty well.

That’s it for now.  Hope you’re doing well.  And as always – tell me what you’re loving right now.

Best,
Stephanie

  2. I have never tried dry shampoo, but yesterday I was reading one of Nora Ephron's books and she got me thinking about the whole wash and dry hair routine...how many hours of our lives we spend on maintenance. Maybe I should give this a try. You have an Ulta?? We loved these mega store in CA, but thought maybe it was a west coast thing.
