three little things no 11.

Well, once again, I’ve been a bad blogger.  It’s hard to believe I only posted one other time in October!  Yikes! In my defense, I had a second surgery and we are in the middle of a major project and my house is a disaster zone.  I would not have thought it would take up the entire downstairs but it has.  So no pretty pictures here.  It does, however, make it a good time to bring back my three little things posts …

Up first, Poppin.  Poppin is an office supply site, but it is not your average office supply site.  You can shop by color or item, and I love their stuff.  One of my favorites is the gel pen, below.  I’ve got a thing for white, so I ordered the white pads, pens, folders, a mouse pad and more.  I really like them all.  I get nothing from endorsing them – I’m just a girl with a little desktop obsession, and I like to share my goodies with you

Another recent little love for me is the Clarisonic.  I just got it last week with a gift certificate I got for my birthday.  It left my skin clean and so soft, and even using it after a make-up wipe still picked up some more stuff that was not visible until I saw it on the brush.  After less than one week, my pores are both cleaner and smaller.  I even feel like my skincare is absorbing better.  It can be expensive, and I wasn’t sure about it so I got the travel size, which is the least expensive model.  And yes,  I DID get the white one.

Last up, my latest make-up obsession.  It’s a one-two punch.  I start with Laura Mercier Radiance Primer – a little goes a very long way.  And I just tried a sample of Smashbox’s Halo Foundation and the results were so good,  I went out and bought it right away.  The coverage is fairly light.  This is not a good foundation if you like heavier coverage.  I’d also suggest that if you have a Sephora or Ulta near you, get a sample, as the colors can be a little deceptive.   I have to say, this combination of products has had people asking me what I have done, if I lost weight and whether I went away.  Which is pretty amazing considering I had surgery and am still uncomfortable, and my house is a nightmare which stresses me out no end.  Throw in another birthday, and I’m pleased as punch with the results.

Hope these three (though I guess it’s really four) little things work for you!
Best,
Stephanie

  2. Hi Stephanie!
I'm so sorry I didn't realize you had had not one, but two surgeries. Ouch! I hope you are feeling better!!!

I share your desktop obsession so Poppin sounds like my kind of place. And, I'm not sure how I ever wore makeup without Laura Mercier's primer!!

Here's to a great week and a great football game this weekend!
    xoxo Elizabeth

  4. Two surgeries and a house being torn up is not a way to spend a month! We feel for you, Stephanie. The Clarisonic is definitely on our Xmas list since we would love not to have our facials hurt so much. We hope you and your house are on the mend!

  5. I'll have to check out Poppin! I love pens and paper and planners etc. I got a Clarisonic for Christmas last year and love it except I find it loses it's charge so quickly. I went to use it today and after 2 seconds...nothing. Happens to me all the time!

    I hope you're feeling better!

  6. I am so sorry, I had no idea you were having surgeries. I hope everything is okay.
I've been meaning to get a Clarisonic forever, but I always forget to go shopping for it. Good to know it works!
