I’m back!

Hello friends!  Sorry for the unintentional blogging break, and thank you for your sweet birthday wishes.   We’ve been overwhelmed here, my aunt passed away, and well, I just didn’t feel like blogging.   And except for pictures of my little one on Halloween, I didn’t have any new photos to share with you.  So to fill in and tide us over, I decided to do a brief beauty favorites.  Hope you find something you love here,

First up, Butter nail polish.  You can get it on line, or in certain stores, like Nordstrom. In every color from fun to funky, these polishes are beautiful and completely free of those cancer-causing chemicals that make me shudder.   I mean, suffering for beauty is one thing, getting sick is completely another.   They aren’t the longest lasting polishes I’ve tried, but they dry so quickly, it’s super fast and easy to touch them up.   Manicure in minutes? I’m in! image

Another old favorite is this one from Vaseline.  Intensive Rescue Repairing Moisture lotion keeps my feet sandal ready all year long.   Unscented, not greasy, and really effective, it is great at keeping winter skin hydrated.

In winter, I tend to move away from the light scents of summer.   Green Tea by Bulgari is still light, but with a little more “presence” than what I wear in warmer months.  With bergamot, bitter orange, orange blossom, ceylon cardamom, pepper, coriander, bulgarian rose, jasmine, green tea and smoked wood, this perfume is just a light touch of citrus and tea that never fails to get compliments.

Another product I can’t get enough of this time of year is the Body Shop’s Satsuma products, especially the body butter and the shower gel.  Its sweet citrusy scent will leave you smelling like the most delicious tangerine you’ve ever smelled.

If you’re like me, antibacterial gels are too drying on your hands this time of year.  I found this Clean Antibacterial Hand lotion at Sephora.  It isn’t quite enough moisture for me for winter, but it does the trick without drying my hands.

  1. Hi Stephanie...Happy Birthday!! How did I miss that?? I am very sorry to hear about your Aunt. I can appreciate just how busy and unsettled you must be.

I like your list...I still remember one from last year...for the foot cream..Vaseline? I just did one for travelling...somewhere in the midst of the last few posts. I am consolidating blogs, finally....there have been a few changes. :) I think you will like the book store...go to the top of my page and look under 'Shop Around the Corner'. I have been a busy blogger. I am not sure I saved myself a whole lot of time...but it has been fun....

    Best wishes Stephanie...

  2. so sorry about your aunt... hope things are better for you over there!

  4. you make me want to head to sephora for a shopping spree. i tried that lotion when you recommended it last year. love it. will have to try a few more of your favorites.

  5. Oh, so sorry about your aunt!
The nail polish sounds perfect. I have a similar shade I bought from Urban Outfiters in Antwerpen last Spring. As for the perfume, we are perfume sisters. I love my Bulgari, though i am faithful to the classic scent.
Wishing you peace, health and happiness.

  6. I never leave home without my Burts Bees chapstick that doubles as lip color and my Nivea hand cream. Love Butter polish and have been sporting "Chimney Sweep" this fall.

  7. Thought id say hello while passing your blog by, and i hope you folks have a very nice weekend. We are maybe a little past fall peek colors for taking pictures of our tree's here in central Pennsylvania, but ill try anyway to go out one last time to snap some images.
